Thisisnotashop has a great program lined up for its final month at the Benburb Street Gallery. We start off with New Work by Siobhan McDonald followed by a group show of past thisisnotashop artists called The Long Goodbye. This show includes new and old work from 13 different artists who have shown with us over the years- its sure to be impressive. And finally our ever popular Annual Christmas (Art) Fair where we open our doors to any and every artist and they fight it out for wall space- just kidding! No fighting just festive fun with an astonishing variety of work plus holiday cheer with fairy lights, Christmas movies, mulled wine… for details check out events and exhibitions

Thisisnotashop is closing Benburb Street Gallery
THISISNOTASHOP is sorry to say…. we’re closing the gallery!
After four years, Thisisnotashop is regretfully closing its gallery space at 26 Benburb Street. Since opening at the beginning of 2006, we have held 80 exhibitions/events and, including group shows, have had the work of over 175 artists grace our space.
However Thisisnotashop as an entity is not going anywhere!
We are going to continue creating exhibitions in both Ireland and New York City in various independent venues as well as maintain our Writing Workshop which is scheduled to present work at P.S.1 Contemporary Arts Center in Queens, NY, in February 2010. Our website, http://www.thisisnotashop.com, will become the base of our operation providing information about the various exhibitions and events on both sides of the Atlantic. So rather than mourning the end of the Benburb Street space we’re celebrating all we’ve have done here as well as the next phase of Thisisnotashop and its expanded potential for our artists and audience.
